Title: flying squirrels

i know this doesnt have much to do with hunting but does anybody know how to trap or catch a flying squirrel

If it were me I'd just climb up a tree and act like a nut.  :shrug: :wink:


Seriously though, most people just use box trap.

Yep, box trap will work.  You need one with fine wire because they can get through a small sized hole.

I have a pic of one somewhere on my website.......It was living in my shooting house and in the day time it did not want to leave so I would put on a leather glove and catch it with my hands. I would let it go out side and in a few min. it would come right back in.....we started feeding it and never saw it the next year.

be careful in some states its illegal to kill them. they were protected by the endangered species act here in WV until recently. i dont know the laws governing your state.
