One from this morning...and a couple more from the last 2 or 3 days...

Dustin and I went out this morning...second stand, less than three minutes in, a large male came running up to the little KatKaller. He was in the edge of the woods, and Dustin fed him a 75 VMax from his .243, at about 35 yards. There was no exit, and the yote was DRT.





We made another couple of stands...no takers, but it was great to get out with my youngest son.

That last pic looks like a pretty sandy place.  Is that pretty much what it looks like up there in your plowed areas. or is that just like a wash or something?

Yessir WV....that's the only shot we had...

Aaron, that is at the edge of a dozer pile....there are a few spots like that here. While it looks sandy, it is in fact, not. The stuff is called "Buckshot" and is Canadian in origin. It was supposedly pushed down here by a glacier in the last ice age. There was a spot of that stuff about 8 feet deep where I dug my first pond. I talked to the county conservation guy, he came out and looked at it and gave me the explanation...
