It was a good week for deer hunting here in Ohio. Wed/Thursday were a bit warm in the 50's but the rest of the week was good. Even had a little snow for a change. Which is what made this fella stand out amongst the snow covered brush that he was hidden so well in.

A pic from the stand Saturday AM.

I got this one about a 1/2 mile from my stand. He was bedded down when I seen him. Neck shot with the Winchester 50cal & a 240r CheapShot HP Sunday afternoon. Hit just below the spine. He jumped up & ran down the hill. I had to pound him again.

That's a super buck!  Congrats, Glen!     :congrats:

Hope you didn't have to drag him far!   :nono:

Dave

Very nice looking 8, Glenn!
Congrats

Okanagan

What a dandy big buck!  Wish I could get one like that.  Beautiful pic from the stand.

Glen,

Congratulations on a nice buck.  Glad that you were able to get out and enjoy the season.

Way to go Glen!  He's a real beauty!   :highclap:

Neat looking buck. I wonder if he damaged himself while in velvet, or if that's just the way he grew naturally. The thick base with brow tine split from the main beam on the pedicle is different. Congrats!

Semp-- Thanks!! The darned thing fell on the 4 wheeler trail & slid down it. We gutted him right there.  :laf: :laf: You can see the tire tracks in front of it's nose.

Thanks Dave!! He's a little odd looking but I like him. I've been waiting on a nice one for the last couple years & always settled,, Thankfully,, on a nice doe or a smaller one for the freezer.

Okanagan-- I'm sure you've had your share of nice bucks. If not I know it was not from a lack of effort. If I lived up there I could do what you do,, maybe. But since I don't,,, well,,, I ainta gonna even try it in my mind!! Thanks You. That was a phone pic as well.

Jerry-- Thanks!! See I don't talk ALL the time. Sometimes I do actually get out & hunt.    Hope you got out a day or 2!!

Dave-- The other Dave. The artistic Dave. The HH Hotel operator Dave!!  :laf: :laf: Thanks!! Brad already hit me up for toneboards.  :laf: :laf:

FOs-- Thanks!! The picture isn't that good & when I get it back I'll take better. It almost looks like a little nub where the brow tine should have been. The other thing that doesn't show is that at the base of that oddly placed tine is another smaller one that wraps around to the back.  :laf: :laf:

gravesco-- Thanks!!

I appreciate all the kind words very much. Thank you all!!
