My grandson, Jonathan, killed this nice 12 point buck with his bow this past Sunday morning in Mercer County. He is 17 years old now, and a good coyote hunting partner, and obviously a good bowhunter.  I'm kind of proud of this young feller.

I just got off the phone with Jonathan, and he said he had only been up in his stand about ten minutes, and the buck stepped out about 30 yds away from the cover. He put one right behind his shoulder, complete pass through, and he ran about 40 yds, rared up on his hind legs, and fell over backwards. Jonathan said he was so shook up it is a wonder he didn't fall out of the tree.  I thought it was funny that he had the cool to place the shot perfect, and then got shook up. Been there done that.
