PUBLIC NOTICE

The Department of General Services (DGS) will resume its annual anti-roosting measures to disperse crows from the Capitol Complex.

The program will commence on Friday, October 31st, 2014. The hours of operation are between 5p.m. and 7p.m. This initiative involves broadcasting of recorded distressed birdcalls and discharging of whistling and exploding devices. This process will be repeated every evening throughout the next few months until the crows have dispersed.

DGS has consulted with the USDA about this procedure, which is not harmful to people, the environment or animals.

For more information, visit the DGS website at
www.dgs.state.pa.us and click on
“Property and Asset Management”, then “Crow Dispersal Program”
