Title: Hydrographics Kit
Post by: Pringleseater on July 03, 2014, 02:14:01 AM
Not sure where to post this.  I searched but the thread was dead and last post was 2011.  I seen my dip kit but their kit is smaller than the one I found from http://www.vortexdipkit.com  I am interested in getting a Hydrographic Dip Kit.  I have seen numerous videos on youtube showing the process. It seems easy I am sure theres more to it then what they show.
My question would be has anyone tried one of these kits.  Looking to get one for my Remington 700.
If you have used one what was your experience like.  I know they have shops that do this but none close by.  I think it would be fun to try at home.

I havent tried one but i have been looking just like you and it looks simple to me the only thing i would change is the spray can clear it wint hold up its lacquer based and will soften up with bug spray i will use a urethane auto clear with flattening agent to make it dull. I air brushed my duck gun 6 years ago and used it ut still looks like it did then.

Thanks for the replys. And thanks Admin for letting me join up..   I think I will just get one and give it a shot. I will try it on one of the stocks and see how it goes.
If I can figure out how to get photos on here I will take a few when I get it and some before and after photos of the stock.  Wish me luck :yoyo:

Let me just say i personally prefer the neat efficiency of the pringles can over the random chaos of the bagged chip :yoyo:

Well, good luck and if you have problems with pictures just contact Bopeye, I mean FinsnFur.  (Inside joke from years ago.)
