Hey guys have you ever heard about the hybrid birds up here?...due to the deep snow and a lot of softwoods, some of the turkeys have cross-bred with the ruffed grouse, resulting in a bird called the "Groukey". They dont strut and gobble in the spring time, they actually drum, they also have the fringed, feathered feet of the grouse, as evidenced by these 3 I took a picture of crossing my driveway this morning. I wonder if they should be included in the turkey "Grand Slam" ?......... :innocentwhistle:
