Stand in the shower for six months to see if you will like it.

Heard that one over lunch today, while looking out at the rain.

To us on the prairies that sounds like a dream.  Bet it would be a nightmare after a short while.
I say what I think not think what I say.

That picture reminded me of some of my days in Vietnam.
When they come for mine they better bring theirs

Remrogers, that pic of tall grass finally dry enough to mow is too true to be funny in these parts.  We are house sitting with low expenses in this huge place, plus my physical difficulties on our hillsides, so I paid a Mexican lawn crew to mow the acre or two of lawn last summer and Fall.  They mow when they get to our place no matter how wet and raining it is.  Makes for uneven ragged patches in extra wet places but I'm all for it.

FWIW, our apartment is almost finished.  Within a month or so we will move from a 4K (or more?) sq ft house with 13 garages into a two bedroom 857 sq ft new apartment built onto our son's shop building.  We were looking for a house to buy when he and his wife came to us and said, “Why don't you enlarge our bed and breakfast apartment and move there?  It will cost less than the down payment on a small house and you will be close to people who care if you fall down.”  Of all the things a son could say that is pretty good.  They are NOT offering assisted living but as long as we can take care of ourselves, it can be home.

John, can't imagine fighting in that tall grass.  Apparently Guadalcanal had a lot of it.  I'd be scared all the time, don't know if I could function.
