Unreal to kill one that far. Fantastic shot. Both of them shooting hurts it some though, IMO.
That's a heck of a shot. Way more than my skill set for sure.
That reminds me. A couple years ago we had some hic-cup wonder into our forums here and was soon chattering his gumbs about all these fantastic 1000 yard shots he made in his life while hunting. He could never back anything if I remember but man did he have the stories. Holes inside of holes inside of holes :alscalls:
Anyone remember? Who was that again?
Good shooting. :bowingsmilie:
The longest coyote shot for me was near 60". It was the big male I took at the Red Bird hunt. It wasn't on video but I do have the hide hanging on the wall. :eyebrownod: :eyebrownod:
60 inches? LOL

Yeah, I was wondering about that also.
That is an incredible shot in the video. The vitals on a coyote are a very small target with the hair gone, average likely a relaxed hand breadth.
Just my poor attempt at some humor Okanagan. :laf: :laf: I have a nice male hide hanging on the wall that
is almost 5' from nose to tail. Purdy good size for the east from what I've seen.

Great response to the original topic! My "Duh" not to get it. :doh2: :alscalls:
:laf: :laf: It's all good!! :eyebrownod: :eyebrownod:
That one got by me too.
Good one HaMeR :laugh2:...jerk!
:laf: :laf: OK now it's gotten funny!!
LOL. I can hear this conversation with my hunting partner... "where is it?" "Steve its 1390 yards pick up your Bino's" "I AM USING THE BINOS!" "You are so blind. We better call that one into 50 feet so you can see it. Keep your binos up."
Hey I could take that shot
hell you give me a good enough tripod and camera and I could shoot that video all day.
Boy do I remember that day, seems like it was just yesterday. Cold and windy plenty of snow all over the place, the Sonoran desert gets like that in July, but I knew I could do it. Lined up my 3x tasco, dead on, slid a fmj into the 17HMR and let it go. Knew he was dead the moment I squeezed the trigger. Retrieved the bullet and casing then had the rifle, bullet and casing bronzed they now hang in my gun room on the "Wall of Honor".
3X Tasco :alscalls:

Those that don't own a Tasco3x topped 17HaMeR would laugh at the somewhat uncertainty of that post!! :noway: :noway:
:alscalls: :alscalls:
Right, I would be one of those. :laf:
I did have one on a 22 once but it was like trying to look down through a McDonalds straw.
:laf: :laf: @ the mcdonalds straw!!
