That is a nice haul but some of them look no bigger then a cigar. How do you clean those?
Or do you just eat them like a piece of licorice?

Or you could become a TrouBasser like me, bass on a fly rod! Especially in your kayak, cheap ready to go walmart fly fishing outfit, already rigged up, and a pack of poppers, I GUARANTEE you will be hooked!

I have failed to spread the truth the light the way of the flyrod SIGH.... :innocentwhistle:

I watched both of those videos and don't understand why they used a fly rod.  Not being a devoted fisherman I would have used a baitcasting reel or a open faced spinning reel.

Why use tartar sauce on good tasting fish, as bad as steak sauce on good tender beef.  You damn easterners ain't got the sense God gave ya!
When they come for mine they better bring theirs

nastygunz

Fried clams without tartar sauce is like...welll....the lone ranger without tonto, andy without barney, matt without festus.... :innocentwhistle:  with a flyrod you can cover way more area a lot faster and you can also carry 300 lures  in a box the size of a pack of cigarettes in your shirt pocket.

Dave

I love popper fishing also.  I think it's watching the fish blowup the popper (even goes for sunnies).  Use a lightweight flyrod and you've got yourself a battle!
Great videos

One of my favorites is fishing for bluegill with my 6 foot, 2 weight fly rod, foam spider on the surface!

slagmaker

I have tried but just haven't gotten casting down yet with a fly rod
Don't bring shame to our sport.

He died for dipshits too.

I always suggest to people who are trying it out for the first time or fairly new at it to look around the local area and find a good introductory fly casting or flyfishing class well worth it. Cuts the learning time down a lot.  Or check around for a local Trout Unlimited club or flyfishing clubs.
