25 years ago today we lost it; where were you?
I was in HS (U.S. Govt. class). Announcement was made over the intercom, and the school administration allowed the TV's in the classroom to be turned on in order to watch the coverage of the sad event. We (students and faculty) spent the day glued to the TV coverage. Reagan's speech after the tragedy was masterful and still twists me up when I hear it today.
"We shall never forget them nor the last time we saw them, as they prepared for their mission and waved good-bye and slipped the surly bonds of Earth to touch the face of God." -Ronald Reagan

I miss having a POTUS who understands how to respond to events like this appropriately, instead of giving shout-outs and throwing pep rallies.....
I too was in high school when this tragic event occurred... I can remember that day's event as though it were yesterday....
I was in HS. Algebra class to exact.
