Good luck with the season Jeremy.
Pat
Looks like you are ready to go and I was really happy to see that someone is looking out for you on the fur market. With her working for you the season will be good even if you don't catch anything.
Jerry
the bad thing is, i think she can do more with that phone than i can
Good luck on the line ! Our season opens Saturday. Hope to get out a few traps if I have time. Depends on what this storm does this week.
Beautiful pics. Each one is interestingly majestic in it's one sorta way. I love it. :eyebrow:
Have you tried your skinning machine yet? I dont know about you, but I think I'm gonna LOVE that thing :yoyo:
Question...what'ya do with the spool tops?
they make great free beaver boards, but this year they will be fire wood because we are going to a oval pattern instead of round
Hope you have a successful trapping season! That's something I have never done!?!?
Jim
Super nice setup you got there... very impressive! :highclap:
Awesome looking set up and trapping shed!!

I had a feeling you'd say that, but when I seen the hoops I doubted myself. :wo:
They are worth more ovaled anyway, arent they?
from what i have heard that at the Canada auction they are measured by computer in square inches, but they prefer them to be oval. So if the buyer wants them oval ill make them oval, and next year if they want them square ill make them...... oval lol I'm not changing no more :alscalls:
Heckuva set up there Jeremy!! Looks like you'll have plenty of muskrat back straps at the LBL!! :laf: :laf: Good Luck!!
It's a good thing you have a financial advisor at your side!!
Nice! Clean, well organized. If only mine would stay that way! Good luck this year!
it will stay like that for about 11 more days and then it will look like a bomb hit it till feb. :yoyo:
Impressive for sure , good luck on your season. cc
Wow, those are some cool pics. I'm guessing that this isn't just a hobby.
Also, where do you go for one of those huge smart phones your assistant is using?
Good luck - looking fwd to seeing some pics.
Jeremy you must be rankin your fur, cause you got real quiet :eyebrow:
Just got back in the house. I ended the day with 5 coon and 26 muskrats
The 12 was opening day for our trapping season but you couldn't set a trap till lunch so I didn't get a lot of sets out .
I'm going to try to have some pics tomorrow
Sweet
Someone at work yesterday said our Gruenwald was paying 12.00 for put up rats :wo:

YEEEah!
You got some nice looking fur already. MANN! Todd's right those rats are
FAT!
Too bad you cant sell them by the pound :laf:
That's a small coon so it makes them look bigger
But we do average huge rats
K, now show us your beaver
:doh2:
i wont start trapping beaver till everything else slows down but i will befor season goes out i would like to catch about 50+ of them
Yeah whats better then 50 big fat hairy beavers right? I'm just sayin
big and fat beavers are great but i like the looks of them when they are sheared and plucked.....just saying :alscalls:

Need some more Jumbos for sure!!!!!!!
Beautiful!
Hows your weather? It's gotta be tough to coral them with no ice, isnt it?
I guess that the only way I've seen done though up here in the frozen tundra.
i mainly trap feedbeds, toilets, and dens or huts we dont get much ice but if we do we stop trapping rats
You got a nice setup there, dawg. You going to try for some coyotes and bobcats?
Ya do any float sets for them?
floats dont do to well here plus i think they are to heavy to be packing around in knee deep swamp, but my dad said that is just me being lazy lol
You stop when the ice comes in??
Wow  there's marsh and swamp up here we cant get to UNTIL something freezes for us to walk on.
Around here the ice don't really ever get thick enough to walk on
So for us it's a boat with a mud motor or chest waders waking around in knee mud and chest deep water
Dont know how Iv been missing this post. That is one sweeeeeet setup ya got there. I think Im gonna put a little line out this year. It will be after rifle season though and its just in one more week.
here is the shed update

looking good Topdawg!
SWEEEEEEEEEET!
I cant believe you still do beavers like that, but they look beautiful :yoyo:
When I was tanning I fell in love with the beaver hoop and hog ring method, mannnn I could fly through those after a while.
What are you getting for rats? I was tellin Denver in another post my brother is averaging $10 a pop up here. Thats incredible and it's all thanks to the mink ranches failing across the nation. The furriers are substituting with muskrat.
i think they av. 8.00 at the may auction in Canada last year... i would like to see 10+ for my good rats
as far as the hoop and ringing beaver..boards and nails are faster for me
Very cool..and alot of work!..I been saying I'm gunna trap a fisher cat for a few years....I think I'm getting inspired !
from what i heard i think china is the big rat buyer,,they are lining shoes with the belly fur of the rats
they sell us Nike's and they are walking around in fur lined shoes
