When I try to open threads with pics they won't load.  Eds and Glens both just sit there antagonizing me :pout:.

I'm thinking those pics are too big. Maybe I'll look at my camera & see if I can shoot smaller ones.

I thought the forum automaticly resized the pics?

HaMeR

pixel wise,, byte wise or whatever it is that they use to tell the size of them,, i think they are too big.

The board still resizes them but I'm wondering if Barry's computer times out waiting for them.

Also, be it known that resized pictures arent just resized when you post them, they are resized every time someone looks at that page. The only way they could be reloaded forever after that is if they were actually stored here on the server.
So since the board is set for pics bigger then 600x600, every time it loads a pic larger, it retrieves it from whereever, photobucket, etc....resizes it and displays it to the viewer....each time it is asked to.
Barry's machine might be timing out before it's done. And yes the larger the image the longer it will take.

I used to have no limit set on it, but some people would post pics straight from their cameras which would be larger then a twin bed sheet if you printed them, 3000 pixels by 3000 pixels, and almost as many megabytes as Windows® XP itself.  :laf:
Every time someone posted one it would blow the sides out of the forum template and anyone trying to read that thread had to scroll from side to side for 7 days and 6 nights to be able to read it. :doh2:

These images can be clicked on now inside the topic too, which blows them back up to the queen bed sheet size.
