Wow, it took me a couple minutes to figure it out. That's cool. :congrats:
I wonder how many illegals disappear each year?

So how do you keep these things with water in them?

Yep, those guys would be better than a pit bull.   With all of the illegal traffic going on, maybe they figured out where the easy pickin's were.   :laf:

So how do you keep these things with water in them? - The ones that I'm aware of are gravity feed from a larger, quite a bit larger, holding tank.  Which in turn is fed by a well and works off a windmill.  Next time I'm in an area that has a set up I take some pictures.

Ok....I can recall seeing some of those when I was down there then. But I always did wonder why they were in such odd places.
Did there used to be something going on in those places?....a homestead?...or?

Most of what you saw was probably on state or federal property.  The ranchers lease it to run their cattle but along with paying range fees must also make improvements such as roadways and water.  Pretty good deal for all concerned.
