Title: How to post YouTube Videos
Post by: FinsnFur on January 19, 2013, 09:39:50 PM
To put YouTube videos in your post so that they actually play inside of your post instead of leaving a link, you need to put the web address or share link of the video in your post.
The web address found in your browsers address bar will give you that. IE: http://www.youtube/watch?v=______

The web address only works if the web address isnt pointing to a version of the video that has features and enhancements in use such as altered screen size etc. You know because the address will have abbreviated words in it.

The best way, and always the fail safe way is to use the share link.
The share link can be found by clicking the word "share" (go figure uh) thats displayed directly under the video.

Now comes the tricky part. When you click the share link it reveals the share link. It's crazy aint it.  :laf:

The revealed share link will automatically be highlighted. So all you have to do from here is copy it and then paste it into your post.
To copy the link, since it's already highlighted, press your control, or ctrl key along with your "C" key. This copies the highlighted text to your computers clipboard. (no you cant see it)

Once you have the text copied, go back to your post and wherever you want the video to display in your post, you paste the text.
To paste it, you put your cursor when you want the video in the post, and then press your control, or ctrl key along with your "V" key this time.
