Congrats to all who scored so far!  The season is young and plenty of time left for everyone to get a bird or two.   Good hunting!

Yah but it gets warmer down there first. The big Turkeys up further are still plumping up thinking winter will never end. You know...kinda like nailbender. :laf:

Shot this guy May 1st at about 8:30. I can't figure out the date stamp thing on my camera and he's not big enough to compete, but I thought I'd share the pictures.

WTG, Pat!   :congrats:

I was wondering how your season was going.     I blanked out after opening day.   I had a couple of opportunities but made some rookie mistakes and paid for them.    :doh2:

You guys keep posting all these turkey pictures got me thinking I may have to apply for a tag this fall.  Have never hunted turkey.
When they come for mine they better bring theirs

KySongDog

DON'T DO IT, JOHN!

Turkey hunting is a DISEASE!   Once infected you'll turkey hunt till you die.

Well its better than tag soup!

I had given up on the gobblers and was walking around looking for mushrooms when this monster flushed from a brushpile.  My gun was hanging on my shoulder but I managed to shoulder it  and get a bead to bring him down. Birds were tough this year, going silent shortly after flydown and completely indifferent to my calling.  Too much competition from local girls who wouldn't let the boys  wander. :laf:
