I had a sinus infection so bad one time the the whole roof of my mouth, including all my top teeth and gumbs were numb.

The doctor said it was caused by the infection and the swelling pushing down on nerves. Man I was freaking out  :shck: :holdon:

Well that and if most people had a head like yours they WOULD NOT want to feel it anyway.......... :laf:

Here's the hi-lite of my day. This was the 2nd grey squirrel to give me hell for being in the woods sick. Once again no tripod. So it's kinda shaky.  :laf:

Glen,

I thought you were going TURKEY hunting.  Now I find out you are after squirrels.    :doh2:

Isn't it like day 7 or somethin?

HaMeR

:laf: :laf:  I let those little buggers go til this fall Jerry. Actually it felt more like a squirrel scouting trip than a turkey hunt.  :laf: :laf:

Having any luck Jerry??  :eyebrow:

With the turkeys you dirty bird!!  :laf: :laf:

Hi Joe. Yeah but I just thought I would post it all in this one thread. Maybe it should be retitled "My 2008 Turkey Adventures".  :laf: :laf:

Hawks Feather

Glen,

My season so far has been filled with problems.  The principal's association has some problems and I have been in Columbus several days and then my daughter had her gallbladder removed so we spent a couple of days there.  We also brought our granddaughter home with us when we left so I have been busy playing, which is really a good thing and actually even better than hunting.  Oh yea, on top of that I had new brakes and an exhaust manifold put on the truck two weeks ago only to find out today that it needs a new catalytic converter.

The one day that I was out I did have a first.  Like you, I had been watching a squirrel that was running around.  When it headed up to the tree tops I thought I would not watch it any longer since I didn't think the movement of my head would increase my chances of getting a turkey.  A few minutes later, due to things falling,  I realized that the squirrel was in the tree that I was sitting against.  No problem until he silently came down the tree and put his feet on my hat, which had my head inside.  Needless to say we both got a good scare.  I said some bad words and the squirrel took off like a shot.

Now that is funny. Several years ago I had a squirrel that had walked up and jumped right on top of my gun barrell. I thought the guy I was with was going to loose it. I just did the little "boo" and that thing went flying up that tree.  :nono:

HaMeR

Well I hope your Daughter is doing better now for sure. That's more important than anything else. The truck,, well they are just monet pits you know. And work just sucks.  :laf: Especially in the spring time about,, oohh I don't know,, RIGHT NOW!!!  :roflmao:

But the squirrel story was a good one!!  :laf: Did you check your hat for squirrel pellets??  :laf: :laf:
