This information might be found some place else but as you guys talk about your hunts it sure would be nice to know your state. When I hit profile a double barreled shotgun appears and I am staring down the business end of both barrels: not really it just says that I can't view them :nofgr:. I know that I am new here and some of you are actually friends, but for us newbe's a location would be great. No not a GPS location :sneer: but "Kansas" would be sufficient. Maybe even posted in the left column after your username.

Welcome to the site KY
See ya there.
I'm Tom Pruett from Princeton, KY. I had many relatives that once lived in the LBL(tween the rivers most of us still call the place)and some are buried there. Sacred place for me. Many of my friends that were run out by the govt. are still alive today. When I go back it's much like a holy pilgramage for me. Oh yes, I hunt there on occasion and for sure will in the future. Good hunting and fishing to all. Sandbank Tom
Glad to have you aboard Tom. I have and have had many friends who lived there or were born there tween the rivers. I understand that sacred feeling you have for the place. And after many years of roaming a good part of it I also have that feeling. Each time I run across an old home site and look at the view from there, I feel the former owners pain. And when I run across an old storage pit I often feel pain from the fall into it :eyebrownod: Jimmie

I'd sure like to meet you Tom. Coyotehunter 1 and I were talking the other day and some of our most memorable moments at the LBL is walking around the old home places. Made a set last year within an old stone foundation, looked llike it could have been a church or school at one time.
We had lunch two years ago at an old home place and just sat there and talked of the people and their land. It was one of those lunches you never forget.
I just wanted you to rest assured my friend, there are still some of us that respect those that went before us and the sacrifices they made.

I now live in Walker Lake, Nevada on a hill over looking the lake from my back yard and in my front yard, less than a mile away is an 11,000' mountain. Now that I found the perfect place for me to live I won't be able to enjoy it very long. You can bet I'll sure make the best of it though.

Central Kentucky, in Paris, KY, Bourbon county. I hunt all over, from Fleming to Carroll to Wolfe County, mostly central and southeastern KY.
Hey Ky boar slayer do you ever huny around caverun lake were heading down their tomorrow to hunt DanielBoone.
Why yeah, RiverBoss, I been huntin down that a ways. I ve hunted portions of DBNF south of the Pioneer Weapons WMA, as well as the Pioneer Weapons area itself. This area is on the west side of Cave Run Lake, in the area of the Zilpo campgrounds.
The DBNF down there is steep rugged train, with deep hollers, mostly forested, as you probably know.
I take it you all are calling for varmints, good luck and let me know what you see....

I know of them, my dad worked with one at Parsons Chevrolet, Antigo. Their up there by Pickerel I think.
My ex wife shacked up with a Mishler up there. They live in Deerbrook, and he used to own a 18 wheeler till he went belly up, now he logs for someone I think.
Not sure if I know that one. If you get up here well have to meet up.
