Because it died?
Because you didn't shoot it?
Because someone left it?
Because the magpies found it before I got to it. This one was as far from civilization as it gets around here and I set the snare just to see if I actually knew anything. The snare was one given me by a hutterite and it didn't work well either. All around a bad day except that I made $250 by catching it.
$250 dollars? wow :congrats:
He didnt put up much of a fight by the looks of things. Not much of a catch circle
Jim he left a big circle but the little bit of fresh snow covered it. The cheap lock the huts used didn't stay locked. :pout:
I made the money by betting a young fella who had been mouthy about how good he was. Catching coyotes around a bait is easy as he knows but now he knows he still has a few things to learn about reading sign and snaring at least three miles from any bait or farm.
Young mouth fella? I cant imagine :laf:

You need to see what an eagle can do to one. Quite often nothing but lower legs, backbone, a few ribs, and skull left for you to find. That and fur scattered all over the place.
