Post by: fuzz269 on August 28, 2011, 12:09:30 AM
Well alittle while back I got a suprize in the mail from a young PA trapper, and it looked to good to use for just drownin beaver, so I tricked it out alittle and will be usin it for coyotes this season,

I ground in an os, than laminated it with 1/4 square stock, made a base plate and new chain.  Wielded the cross frame, took the slop out of the dog eye and wielded it.  Added some pan tention and night latched it.  It is ready for any coyote that ever walked around my neck of the woods.  This is the first DLS I have modded up and I am realy happy with the way it turnd out.

Looks good!

I can remember my brother asking me to laminate a pile of his footholds a couple years ago. He came up to the shop with a buck of traps and a box of short pieces of round stock for the laminates.

MAN!...that sucked! :doh2:
