Title: cleaning dirty brass ?
Post by: securpro on March 18, 2009, 07:22:09 PM
I have about 2000 rounds of 223 brass and about a third of it is stained and the walnut shell media im using isn't getting them clean as I would like, is there any thing I can add to the mix to get the stains out ? Ive heard that you can add laundry detergent (dry) but I dont want to waste 5lbs of walnut shell media just to try....

I couldn't even tell you. My reloader told me about it one time.
I had bought a bunch of 22-250 brass off ebay and he was having a heck of a time cleaning it.
He said needed to get some dry rice to tumble it in.
And it did work nice. :eyebrownod:
