Took wife on a logging road drive to scout for berries.  Stopped to pick a few and fell down a steep slope into the road ditch while wife read her book parked in nearby shade.  I scored 8.6 on my 720 double rotation landing, including the roll after impact.  She heard me grunt when I hit and looked up to see me in the ditch.  She thought that I was hiding and calling an elk or some other animal.

Got something wrong with me and docs can't come up with a diagnosis.  I hurt all over, and have decided on my own that the pain is in the layer of silver skin connective tissue called mylora facia.  Have seen two docs so far with an appointment with a rheumatism pain specialist in a few weeks.  Meanwhile the other docs can’t fix it so it seems like they want me to go away.  Have had a dozen or more blood tests for all kinds of ailments.  All good.

Shoulders and wrists/hands hurt the most but it is not terrible pain.  Along with the pain is a weird stiffness, very hard to get down or get up.  Hard to put on a shirt or get in a car but easy to drive.  Hard to get in a boat but easy to fish and catch salmon!

Am wondering if it is lyme disease, though they tested for that and the initial test was OK.  Along with the pain and stiffness is a lassitude, not wanting to do anything, even things easy to do.  Unusual for me.  Some days sleep 16 hours.

I have kept track and am up to 19 different cures, potions, and treatments recommend by well meaning friends.  Have tried most of them, from sauna to CBD though still haven't gone in for a massage.  John, I still need to ask the doc about the medicine you recommended, because it sounded worth trying.  I have it on a note here somewhere.

This rambling post FWIW.

"I scored 8.6 on my 720 double rotation landing, including the roll after impact", 8.6 ain't bad but I have done better.  Hope yournot hurting for long.  Hell to get old ain't it?
When they come for mine they better bring theirs

Slept 16 hours??  I'm lucky if I get 5 a night. Lots of times less.  Anyways, I hope they come up with a solution for you, Clyde.

Hope they get you figured out, pain ain't no good for nothing! 8.6 sound like you missed the landing!

Sorry to hear this and hope that it gets cleared up real soon.

Yeah, I missed the landing.  :innocentwhistle: You gotta stick it to get a 10.

Once I was beyond the point of no return, instead of trying not to fall I tried to control the impact.  I intended to hit on my left buttock but landed on the left side of my lower back.  I'd hoped to skid downhill to a quick stop from there but did an uncontrolled diagonal roll and flop, all the time holding an open bucket right side up.  Spilled a few berries.

When I was 15 and carrying my prized new Savage 340 carbine in 30-30, I slipped on a rock slide while hunting mule deer.  I skidded, bounced and rolled some 20 feet while cradling that rifle to keep it from touching a rock anywhere on the way down.  I could have stopped myself much sooner and with a lot fewer scrapes but was so pleased that there wasn't a scratch on the rifle that I gave that one a 10.

Then there was the 360 airborne with a backpack full of goat meat...  :whew:

Ha!Ha! I've been there on protecting my gun and scope.
Those slippery wet rocks are a real challenge and ain't much chance of not getting skinned alive.
