Any one painted their Tupper wear gun stock? I am getting ready to do the one on my savage 93F and wondered if there were any do not do that stuff.

I've done several but I use automotive clears with flattening agent for my final coat. They are super tough but expensive for the person who doesn't work in a body shop.
Use the lightest color first a spong works great like they sell in a paint store.
If its to light when your done frost a dark color over it and use lacquer clear low gloss. It won't take bug spray to good it will make it soft so try to be carefully if you use it. But you can always touch it up if it start getting wore off.

None of them are glossy anyway are they? I would think they'd take paint well, if cleaned up and de-greased.

Just use comet and a scuff pad rinse it off and let it dry.

I used rubbing alcohol to clean the stock off before I sprayed the first coat of Krylon textured yesterday.
Going to scuff it some and do a coat of stone today I hope.

Put the second coat on yesterday using some fern and maple leaves as stencils. Not really sure I like the look.

:madd: When I can get around to it. I am ALMOST positive that I am going to change it though. I think it turned out OK but looks like some camo equipment from the middle east.

I did one a couple years ago. The thread should still be floating around here.
Here's one...but not the one I was looking for. This shows some other members paint jobs. http://forum.finsandfur.net/index.php?topic=6285.msg70444#msg70444

Heck no...that aint bad at all. But ... ... I dont thinks thats Tupperware.
It kind of looks like an upside down shopvac, which if it is...I dont think thats REAL tupperware. Your not really putting left overs in there and putting it in your fridge are you?

One thing I can say is with the stone texture it sure isn't slippery. I do need to clear coat it though once I decided I am going top go with it as is.
