Hawks Feather

The bee keepers in this area have been having problems for several years.  Two years ago the county commissioners gave a partial of land to area bee keepers where they will share their knowledge with others who are willing to get started with bees. They have laid a layer of stone, built a white fence around the area (to keep stupid people from walking in and shaking bee hives), and have around 15 hives there.  Seems like a good idea to me and I would probably bee (pun intended) a part of it except for the fact that I am extremely allergic to bee and wasp stings.

 I have a friend who is a long time beekeeper and he has his hives barricaded like Fort Knox because his biggest problem is bears!

I am guessing that the bears would LOVE to visit a bee hive.
