It looks like LBL has moved the centerfire season for coyotes up one week to January 26.  Traditionally the season opened February 1.

"COYOTE / FERAL HOGS
Coyotes and feral hogs may be taken during daylight hours in any open hunting season with weapons specified for that season. Hand, mouth, or electronic calling devices are permitted. From Jan. 26-Feb. 28, center-fire rifles and handguns, and shotguns with shot size T or smaller may be used for coyote/hog hunting. Hog hunting with dogs is prohibited. "

I hate it when they do that after you already get your vacation time approved. :madd:

Semp, thanks for the heads up, good catch !!!  I put a sticky on this topic.

Centerfire season now opens on Monday, the 26th. The first full weekend will be Friday the 30th, Saturday the 31st, and Sunday the 1st.

The planned dates, 5th, 6th and 7th will now be the 2nd weekend of the season.  :doh2:
Looks like we may want to seriously consider a date change.

What you all say?

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

Change works for me, I'm retired.  Some of the other guys might have already scheduled their days off???  Sooner we decide the better.

I really don't see any advantage to changing the dates...  Prolly won't be a lot of other coyote hunters in there before us anyway?!?!  I think most of us have already planned on the origional dates.  Like I said I'm easy, it's the other guys we don't want to mess up.  Looking forward to it.
