cussed out by some coyotes!

Well, it was 9am this morning when my buddyand I took his walkers for a run.  After they grew tired, one came back to us but the other stayed on the trail.  My friend calls his dogs by making a yippin sound and that is exactly what he did.  Well maybe 40-50yds into the thicket, we were answered by a VERY agressive howl.  My jaw dropped and the hair on my neck stood up.  I told him to yip again and the coyote answered with another howl followed by some barks.  We waited a few seconds and he barked again.  My friend yipped at him once more and was ansewered by multiple coyotes!!  Keep in mind, they werent far at all and the sound was quite shrill.  it sounded like 3 or 4 yotes.  I wanted to see if we could call them in with my friends emulations, but he got spooked since we were unarmed.  It sure made my day.  Oh, and i found the den last weekend.  can't wait to thin out the population.
