So will that get you through the entire winter?

Definitely. It's hard to tell, but that pile is 16 ft deep. The left side of the picture you can tell that that whole half of the pile is darker colored. I split and stack that last year. That's what I will be burning this year. it's unlikely that I will make it past the halfway point in that pile this year. The right side of that picture where the wood looks newer is where I pulled from during this past winter and spent this fall refilling back up.
I rotate which side I pull from each year so that what I'm burning is always a year old and dry.

Yea, I figured that the old wood is what you would be using first and the lighter would be the last to be used.  Now you just need a conveyer belt to bring it to your door.  Or maybe the neighbor kid or a good Indian squaw.

Out here that woodpile would last my grandkids, all seven of them, a lifetime.
When they come for mine they better bring theirs
