Cool deal Al!! Good Luck on those critters. Hope to see a couple cool pics of GOOD crows & coyotes. The call looks good to. Hope I get to hear it in person one day. When I was down there 2 years ago we seen quite a few Ravens on the hilltops.  Are those legal??

1/8" plywood Jimbo.......I painted them with some paint we had on hand called Bronze Black left over from where I used to work.....took me about 2 hrs. to make a dozen of them.  :eyebrow:

HaMer......I did not think there was a difference in a Raven and a crow......

Hey Al, Hows come all the decoys are left handed?    Didn't ya make any right hand ones?  :innocentwhistle:

Silencer

should work great Al, the paint in the pic's dont look too shiny, how's it for real ?   I used a chalk board paint to touch up my crow dekes but I had to pay for it lol... free paint is good !!!

Todd:  Share Buddy......what ever yer takin........share..... :hahaha: :hahaha:

Vic: The bronze gives it what I believe will work fine.......Heck I used black trash bags before and it worked.......I have used electrical tape on decoys and that worked......I dont think it matters as much as realism......Like.......when using silhouette decoys you should face at least a couple of sets in T shaped Pairs Or L shaped pairs........So when the birds are flying around them the decoy appears to move, as one decoy disappears to the bird because of its vertical position the other decoy suddenly appears pointing the opposite direction.......you will find this works very well with Geese as well......

This morning we will stomp out a place in the snow and I will lay out an animal looking piece of material and set the decoys as if a feeding frenzy is taking place on a dead animal.......then when the first crow falls I will wail a crow distress  and some scout Whurrs with the mouth call as the E-caller is still running....usually works well if we can just kill that first one..... :laf:

Big time difference Al.  The Raven is larger and their sound and flight is much different.  Ravens like the sound of bunny blues .
I say what I think not think what I say.

Plus Ravens are a lil' higher on the IQ charts.

I was bear huntin one time inside a portable blind, I had a raven land on top of it.
A millisecond before it landed all I could see was a black shadow comin down on me.
It was big enough to make the roof come down on top of my head. I thought it
was all over, bout pissed myself.  :eyebrownod:
              Fricken Ravens.  :nono:
Decoys look like they'll do the trick, good lookin call too Al.

No crows as we only set up twice and then a huge snow storm hit and we had a long drive home....
Did 5 coyote sets with no takers this day.....Still had a GREAT time and got to scout some new ground as well... :eyebrow:

Here is the decoys at work......

We could not even buy a crow in this weather.... :laf:
