Well......... I did not hunt as it was Sunday..... but I went to check the bait pile....... and there is nothing left!!
Even a road kill deer I hung in a tree was gone and the tree was broken..... I had it cabled to the tree so I dont know how they done it!!!!! It was about two feet in the air and skinned.....
This all happened to this tree in a week......

Coyote tracks were everywhere where there was mud.... and we seen 1 coyote running away on the drive in..... it ran right through this bait site..... :laf: :laf: Guess I shoulda been hunting this week..... Just did not make it out..... Off to find more road kill........ Even the cable is gone..... :laf:
Why would you hang the bait . Them hills make me appreciate my flat land .
Barry........ I really dont know.... I had an old trapper friend of mine show me to skin it..... then hang it and it works better...... and I have loved doing that ever since...... Most folks wont skin a road kill...... But if ya do..... It works well when its hung up...... :eyebrownod:
Seems to me that hide on would last longer . Dambed if I'm gonna do the coyotes work for him unless of course I need the hide.
They did all this to that live tree in a week....... even broke the limb it was hanging from...... So I ant gonna argue that it works or not..... I am just gonna keep doing it....
They could react different up there..... Sure would be neat to see..... Aint you got two boys for skinning duty? :innocentwhistle:
Al up here the road kill is pretty much skinned before we find it :laf:.
I bet you could build a hanging post out in the yard and shoot 20 coyotes off it before the meat was gone... :eyebrow:
Something sure climbed and scratched the bark on that tree. Wonder if that was all coyotes?
No Idea...... But what ever broke that branch was pulling VERY hard...... Coyote tracks were the only tracks I could make out in the dried out mud....... Last week there was some coon and bobcat tracks as well.... This week I couldnt tell for sure..... Oh and some crow tracks...... But I was wondering if a bear came back..... I never seen any sighn of it though...... I usually only see thier tracks here in the late spring early summer..... when the berries are getting good..... I shoulda had a trail camera out...... But I dont have one anymore.... :laf:
Al you must be mistaken. There aint no coyotes on your property :madd:
Oh yea thats right.... never mind...... :laf: :laf:
Are you here in town knucklehead? Lets go get em after this big storm dries up...... We got tornado warnings everywhere this AM..... :holdon:
