Our forum is getting outdated more and more everyday. I'm in desperate need of running an update to it but I've been putting it off due to the unknown time involved in doing it.
The latest update isnt a minor version change from say 20.19 to 2.20 either. It's a major update with all sorts of new user interface, changes admin changes and security changes.
I'm being told that the update will not be compatible with any of the toys or add ons we have installed over the years, like shoutbox, video player, the custom theme etc. And it will wipe all those out as it updates.
They can be reinstalled as long as the developers of those add-ons released new versions to be compatible.
Long story short...if you log in and everything looks different, plain Jane, and basic...it's just me running the update.

Endless change is the unchanging norm for all things electronic, much as I hate it. Google has locked my email account and so far I've not found a way to communicate with a human about what the problem is. You are doing great compared to them!
I demand a refund of my membership dues!... :innocentwhistle:

She done. Everything seems to be functioning, minus all the addon toys which were erased.
If anyone see's something weird or in need of attention, let me know. I did a quick look around but didnt dig real deep...I need some sleep for now.

No nothing right now. The major upgrade removed all addons and installed fresh files. It wasnt compatible with this yet anyway. Same way you cant charge your 84 Camaro at the local EV charging station. Non compatible. :laf:
