I found that if you marinate the meat in buttermilk overnight, it eliminates that gamey taste.  Try it.

Coyote is real good if you can cook or at least follow directions real well.
Also if you have not tried it you just are not qualified to go yuk.

I have some good recipes for mink and weasel too if you would like.

I prefer my coyote have just the hint of the green belly.
Then add some potatoes and carrots with cat head biscuits and  some gravy.

I'm qualified to go "yuk" UNTIL I DO try it. Because I dont have to taste it for it to sound yucky.  :laf: :laf:

Once had a Sgt that worked for me and he had a Korean wife.  So one day I asked him if his wife ever cooked a dog while in Korea, he said she had but he didn't eat any of it.  I asked him if he would like me to bring him a hind quarter off the next coyote I killed.  He hesitated but said yes maybe she'll like it.  A few days later I brought him a coyote hindquarter and a few days after that he said that he was to tell me "no more coyote".  I didn't know if he meant that she ate it all or if she didn't want anymore - she didn't want anymore.

I can just imagine eating ole yodel dog would be like diving face first into a garbage and chowing down... just the thought of it sorta deadens my appetite...  :nofgr:

We just grilled a few up for the July 4 cook out. One of the girls commented it tasted just like lamb chops only cheaper.
