Title: Took the Mossberg out
Post by: KySongDog on October 25, 2022, 04:54:08 PM
I called this one a couple weeks ago. The 835 dropped her like a sack of rocks at 15 yards after about 6-7 minutes of calling right after dawn.

Nice female and I guess her weight at maybe 30 pounds.

Looks like they never learn that when you call it means a quick death.

Sweeeeet :highclap:
Hows the fur look on her? Looks like a decent pale one.

She was in good shape. No mange. But I'm no fur connoisseur. I might take a pic then in the ditch it goes.  :laf:

Good shooting and congratulations on what appears to be a nice coyote.  Do you not have any trappers in the area that may take them and then skin and sell them?

No trappers that I know of in my AO. There are some that trap LBL in January in designated areas but they are few. I'm not up on fur prices but the last time I checked coyotes didn't bring much here in KY. Jim was in the business so he may know more about this subject.
