Anybody else use them? I am a big fan and I own several. They have a front and rear drag and work excellent :yoyo: Great for stripers, catfish and carp.

A spinning reel equipped with a baitfeeder feature (AKA a baitrunner) has two drag systems. There’s a primary drag on the end of the spool and a secondary drag built into the back of the reel body. The secondary drag is activated by a lever which changes the drag to a very light setting almost free spooling but as soon as you begin to crank, it immediately switches to the primary drag.
The secondary drag system is great for free lining bait when a fish is taking the bait and line with no resistance it makes a clicking noise to alert you that you're bait has been taken. As soon as you flip the lever or start reeling it shuts down the rear drag and puts it on the front regular drag to fight the fish.
Never tried one me self. Ive seen them in action.
