I wish we had prarie dogs. I would love to get after them. Those would be great to break my CZ 204 in on.

Stateline...
Since we don't have p-dogs in TN, I made you a target to practice on. Just print it out and have at it...  :laf:

BTW < I shot this photo in either Texas or Arizona, can't remember which.

Please visit our ol' buddies over at: http://www.easterncoyotes.com

Born and raised in the southern highlands of Appalachia, I'm just an ol' country boy who enjoys calling coyotes... nothing more, nothing less.

I shot a couple more today with the 204.

How does everybody feel about blood & guts??

I'll only post em if it's OK.

Both were shot with a 39gr BlitzKing that starts out at 3850fps. The 1st pic was a small one & that is the exit. This 2nd one was about an 8-9lber & was SHOT IN THE BACK!! :roflmao:  This is the entrance. I take pictures of them the way they were laying when I walk up to them. It just seems to add some realism I think. :eyebrow: :laf:

 :laf:  You're right.

I set up on a gas line along a ridge this AM turkey hunting. No birds came my way but I got to hear a bunch of gobblin & shootin tho. At least somebody scored. :laf:

Anywho,, from the ridge I was on I can see the next one over & the valley in between is about 500 feet deep. I know there are coyotes in there too. I've just not gotten any shots on them out there. From 10:30 to right around 11:30 I listened to the coyote pups down in there whining & raising a ruckus. Thats a 1st for me & I think it was a cool listening experience.

Hawks Feather

Glen,

Your luck sounds like mine, except I had deer rather than coyotes.  No turkey today, but maybe tomorrow.  I had to set up in the woods and not along the open field like I wanted.  The farmer that owns the field is assigning days when people can hunt.  I guess there have been some problems.  I just went to the next house and got permission to hunt the woods next to the open field.  Tomorrow I might set up RIGHT along the open field in the front.  In the  back there was a very good sized Tom.  Problem is that he had a couple of hens with him and he was not interested in crossing a couple of cut-outs just to get another one.

Jerry

HaMeR

Jerry--  Yesterday I thought I had a small area to myself also. But right at 6:08 somebody was on top of the ridge behind me & wouldn't shut up!! He called for the 1st 20 minutes almost nonstop. Then walked the ridge behind me calling. Then went just over to the other side & called back to where he started. By 6:45 I could hear him crossing the open hayfield above me & he was still squawkin on that diaphram!!  But at least he was leaving. :laf:  Shortly after that I watched the fox come thru. :eyebrownod:

It's terrible when a farmer has to do that. :rolleye:  The next step is denying everybody for a year or two then starting all over with a new bunch of guys. Hopefully he doesn't lump you in with the troublemakers.

If I make it out tomorrow I'm gonna hit the woods.   I aint got nuthin to lose but a little sanity!! :madd:

:roflmao:

Best of Luck Jerry!!

5 years ago this 21lb 10" bearded Tom came from this property.  My 1st!! :eyebrow:  And so far only. :madd:
