Starting at $3,499, I'll not be owning one in the near future.

I probably won't either..... but I can dream!
I'm taking my daughter to the SCI Convention in Las Vegas next month. I'm positive FLIR has a booth, so I'll be sure to stop by and fondle and drool all over their wares.
I think it would be fun to have the scope, but it is way out of my price range. The thing I found interesting is at the beginning of their video where they have the following. "The world's most affordable thermal scope for non-game hunting." Which is then followed by crosshairs on hogs. Also, if it is for non-game hunting are they suggesting that it is only made for shooting people and other non-game (illegal ?) hunting? At the end they say that the "Use of thermal scopes for game and non-game hunting varies dramatically by state. . . . " So do they not know what they put in their ad?

:alscalls: I thought the same thing Jerry
I don't know the regulations in other states, but in Texas feral hogs are not classified as game animals. Same with predators. Neither have restrictions (other than having a valid hunting license {in most cases} and permission to hunt on property). We can hunt them 24/7/365 by any means.
Also, last year our State legislature passed a bill which now allows us to hunt and kill all animals (game, predator, fur bearers, etc.) with thermal, IR and NV scopes.
Im movin to Texas!
Nasty, pick me up :yoyo:
