Ya, on a AM 6000 and a 10' cat rod! It put up a little fight...lol If I remember right it eat a 8" creek cub. We cought 20 plus fish that day from 15 to 54#! Not a bad day.

Really that fish isnt that big, we get a few every year over 60#. We had one day this spring we cought 40 plus fish over 20# in one night. Several in the 50# class. You just haft to hit at the right time though.

We dont eat none of the big ones, just get a weight on them and turn them loose. 1-8# or so seem to be the best to eat.

The heat here has drove them deep for now, except at night. But even at night the fishing is slow. No one is doing much good, 1-3 fish a night, with some good nights threw in there every now and then if you set down on the right hole.
