Lignum Vitae and Cocobolo

Two calls up for sale and both are made with Lignum Vitae and Cocobolo. While I have had this Lignum Vitae for over a year, this is the first piece that I have turned. It is a nice hard wood with the rows of grain really standing out. The color reminds me of "aged" Osage, which I like. The round in the picture is the trusty old .243 who is polished for Al and standing straight for Jim.

The solid body call is $30 and the laminated call is $35. If you get one and don't like it for any reason, there is a full refund.

Very nice calls Jerry...I haven't tried any Lignum Vitae yet. How does it turn? From the looks of thjose calls it turns pretty well. Good job.

I like that stuff Jerry!! They both look real nice. The LV actually looks like a laminated material with the lines being so straight & darn near evenly spaced. Well Done!!

V V Did you try the other Call out to see how it sounds ??? if they sound HALF as good as they Look,,then that would be one outstanding sounding Call because ot looks GREAT !!!

The name Lignum Vitae ,sounds like the name of a Designer Purse, But it is Art,,I should have told my Wife that I was buying her a Lignum Vitae out of the KINDNESS OF MY HEART

of course when it arrived,,and she saw it WASN'T a Designer Purse,,I may have received a Black Eye,,and I would have had to take my Showers with the Curtain Opened a little,to keep from gettin a Little Surprise of my own

I just got it today & messed w/ it while driving around w/ CK. She gave it a good working over. Sure scared the bejebbers outta some cows along the road.

I was surprised at the size of it. It's larger that one of the earlier calls I got from HF. It's quite a hand full.

I am glad to hear that both the calls have made it to their homes. Tell the cows that I am sorry for the scare and tell Kate I am glad she finally got a hand full. I keep bouncing back and forth between that size and the "little" sized calls. Some like the larger and my preference is the smaller.
