Cam has already started gathering all the traps up and is wanting to start getting them ready. We have seen alot of fur the past few weeks on our daily trips around the river and it's killing the boy to have to wait. I do believe he is hooked on another great sport for life. :highclap:

So lets here about all the new spots you have this year, all the new toys to play with and a few pics to get us fired up down here in lonley VA. (I say that as 90 % of you guys are from the northern states....) (AKA...Ohio....)
My views and opinions are based upon being banned from a place that has no morals or the common sense God gave to a pecker gnat. I also hate frogs and will reply to such at any given chance. Thank You.

I have all the traps boiled and waxed, dirt gathered, lure ready and I still need to make some more bait and snares.  I thought you guys just called coyotes up to sniff them big balls.  I didn't realize you trapped also.
I say what I think not think what I say.

I used to trap a lot..........I have caught a lot of fox toes in my day.....But I never caught a fox that was missing a toe. :wo:

To all you guys getting ready for the upcoming fur season, may your traps be full and your fur checks bigger than ever.

From a guy who doesn't have an off season, not complaining!!!!

Randy,

What happened to the woods that the coyote lives in?    :innocentwhistle:  That poor fellow doesn't have any place to hide.  Not only that, but where are all the houses?  Are you trapping on a missile test site or something like that?

Danny,

As for trapping, I think I will only be using the Lil Griz traps this year.  In going thought things in the basement I came across all the supplies I bought a couple of years back when I thought I was going to be putting out snares.  It never happened.  I may need to part with some of this.

Jerry see all the trees in the background on the last pic.!!!

Catching  coyotes in the heat of summer in these bare pastures, regularly will teach you a few things and can humble anyone while learning. This is by far the hardest time IMO!!!!! Lure and bait will dry out in our 100 degree 10 percent humidty and you must set on sign and do alot of homework. It's amazing what a shower of rain that time of year will do to enhance sets on their own.

FinsnFur

Yeah but that was right after the loggers came through and clear cut her, wasn't it?  :laf:

Nnnnnnnnice Randy.
Best of luck this season, and keep them pics coming :yoyo:
