Jim,

I hate to tell you this, but I think Al is making you a drill press call.  If he makes it I am sure that it will work, but it sure looks heavy.

Al,

I don't know how well the Meguiar's works on calls, but it does a nice job cleaning up the plastic on headlights and turn signals on cars.  I really like Meguiar's products.

He knows I'm checking this thread 46 times a day...and twice during the night when I get up to pee. So he's tormenting me :nono:

THO Game Calls

You would have to turn and polish some acrylic to appreciate the last picture LOL.   2.50 worth of plastic, a buck for a reed and 27.95 for paper towels LOL.

Well, let's see if you like this one.  No frills, just plain crow sounds in Green Acrylic.

And if you don't like it, it wont hurt my feelings a bit.  Our crow season opens in a few weeks  :)

Very nice Al...Just got a question for ya though. Did you turn the taper off of the reed and make it straight or am I imagining that :wo:

Steve

THO Game Calls

Yes, I did turn the taper off the insert.

It is known in the call making world as the Latta Method.  Invented by the World Famous and Internationally Aclaimed call maker Jerry Latta of FnF fame.

Watch for a tutorial on the method coming this weekend on my web site.

That is a sharp one Al. If I would known that you could turn these crow call inserts down I would have held out on the MT reamer that just came in the mail today :doh2:
