At first glance that looks like a pretty big bear, but then I considered the snow depth and maybe not all that big.  Seems early for a bear to be out in your part of the world.

Edit added:  been looking at the pic of this bear and and am sliding back to thinking he is pretty big.  He's got a long wheelbase and not much for neck.  The long tall legs may be a lean bear after hibernation.  Usually the belly is dragging on really big bears, but that's not always true in spring.

Over coffee at the local spoon this morning, a friend told me that yesterday he saw a small bear walking around about 30 miles west of here, just above sea level.

The lowland bears here often don't really hibernate but cycle in and out of sleep and prowling all winter.

Bird feeders?
You need to get those mountain kids to start throwing their fish carcasses in the yard and also pant ya a berry bush

I'm thinking that 16 inches of snow we got coming tonight and tomorrow might slow him down some.
