Title: PayPal Hijack attempt
Post by: FinsnFur on November 09, 2013, 08:12:50 AM
I see theres another fake PayPal email floating around. This ones asking you to click to confirm your account. Once you click the link and confirm your account you just handed the keys to your account, to a stranger.

1. Paypal always address emails to your real name and not Dear User / Member / Customer etc. eg Dear John Smith.
2. Paypal NEVER asks you to use a link in an email or a download in an email to enter sensitive log in or financial info.

Good heads up, Jimbo.  I received about the same warning from PayPal.

Hey Jim,

As soon as you posted this I could tell that I had better Confirm My Information.  I keep clicking n the 'Click here to Confirm Your Account Information" link in your post, but it doesn't work.   :sad3:  And all these years I have been telling people how tech savvy you are.  Now I find out you can't even make a post with a working link.

Jerry

For anyone who might not know better - this is a joke.

It worked fine Jerry. There's no visual confirmation, it's all done silently :eyebrow:
