The "Obamanites" the "Sheeple" the "followers of the New Messiah", whatever you want to call them are getting their wish. The Iowa National Guard is going to start training on Door to Door searches for "ARMS DEALERS".

People that will be searched are volunteers at this time and then part of the town will be sealed off. YEEHAWWW!!! Let SOCIALISM RING!!!   :yoyo: :yoyo:

Maybe they will allow foreign U.N. troops in to train with them. Nothing like a good search of American Homes.  :highclap:

You are preaching to the choir, Bopeye.

With the nationalization of the banks, we are already in a socialist state.   Today, the Obama Nazi's announced that the government would take a 40% stake in Citigroup which is the parent of Citi Bank.

The New World Order is progressing nicely me thinks.

Bop,

I do appreciate your post and agree that many of the things the US leader is currently doing just sends chills down my back like fingernails on a blackboard.  The problem is that there are still to many worshipers that are following right along with whatever he thinks.  It may take a little while, but hopefully more people will start to open their eyes and see what is really happening.  Clinton started the Free Trade Agreement, Bush got blamed for it, and now the president is taking out billions in loans to solve "the problem."  The problem is that no one really knows what the problem is  that the money is going to be used for.  I heard today that much of the house loan money will go to illegals, not my idea of where I want my money to go.  I have a friend who has a son that lives in Colorado and just got laid off.  He figured that he would give the toll free number a call and see if someone would pay his mortgage while he is laid off.  He was on hold for over 30 minutes and then speaks to some man in India that he could barely understand.  After giving him information, he was told that he would probably qualify and someone else would call him with more information.  He is NOT planning on taking the government money, but wanted to see what they said.  If the president really wanted to keep jobs in America it would seem that a good place to start would be to quit outsourcing to India.  There is also talk of additional taxes on business and wealthy.  I am all for both paying their fair share, but if a business is going to be hit with higher taxes, they will do what Al's company did and move the plant to Mexico or somewhere else outside the US.  As for the wealthy, it will be interesting to see how much the taxes on Kennedy go up.  Somehow I think he will have much "written off".  For those who work "out of the US" for example, ACTORS,  they do not pay US tax on the money they make when they work outside the US.  Maybe that explains why many of the movies are shot in Canada and other countries.

Right now the president and the dems in DC are making some of the people feel good because they are giving away our kid's and grandkid's money in the form of loans that will need to be repaid.

I am a simple man and don't understand why no one is up in arms about the president wanting to send an additional 17,000 troops to Afghanistan.  After all, there were all the protests about Iran and Iraq.  In fact, the president plans to pull military from there as a "cost cutting effort."  What is happening in Afghanistan that makes it all that more important than other Middle East countries?

So yes Bop, I am not happy with all the crap that is going on, but until it starts hitting more of the people, we  will just be labeled as whiners, complainers, and part of the problem.   Despite being called those names by the liberal media, I don't plan to change.

Hes trainng the Guard to desensitize them for a time when he uses them to subjugate the citizens with a martial law declaration that will turn into a dictatorship........but to do that.....he must first........take away the arms of the citizens..........which is addressed in the Constitution.....he is also slowly working the military into a police agency...which is also not supposed to happen.....some day you may watch a combat fire team on TV access and neutralize a building full of "insurgents" but it might not be in Iraq, it might be your neigbhors home or your home !!....note also increasingly how police forces are slowly evolving into military like units with tactical training and weaponry inluding armored vehicles and helos......I wont even touch on what i did my graduate thesis on...police surveillance of public spaces via CCTV....BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING!

The Posse Comitatus Act is a United States federal law (18 U.S.C. ยง 1385) passed on June 16, 1878 after the end of Reconstruction, with the intention (in concert with the Insurrection Act of 1807) of substantially limiting the powers of the federal government to use the military for law enforcement. The Act prohibits most members of the federal uniformed services (today the Army, Air Force, and State National Guard forces when such are called into federal service) from exercising nominally state law enforcement, police, or peace officer powers that maintain "law and order" on non-federal property (states and their counties and municipal divisions) in the former Confederate states.

The statute generally prohibits federal military personnel and units of the National Guard under federal authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within the United States, except where expressly authorized by the Constitution or Congress. The Coast Guard is exempt from the Act.

Why is a U.S. Army brigade being assigned to the "Homeland"?
(updated below - Update II)

Several bloggers today have pointed to this obviously disturbing article from Army Times, which announces that "beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the [1st Brigade Combat Team of the 3rd Infantry Division] will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North" -- "the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities." The article details:

They'll learn new skills, use some of the ones they acquired in the war zone and more than likely will not be shot at while doing any of it.

They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack. . . .

The 1st BCT's soldiers also will learn how to use "the first ever nonlethal package that the Army has fielded," 1st BCT commander Col. Roger Cloutier said, referring to crowd and traffic control equipment and nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals without killing them.

"It's a new modular package of nonlethal capabilities that they're fielding. They've been using pieces of it in Iraq, but this is the first time that these modules were consolidated and this package fielded, and because of this mission we're undertaking we were the first to get it."

The package includes equipment to stand up a hasty road block; spike strips for slowing, stopping or controlling traffic; shields and batons; and, beanbag bullets.

"I was the first guy in the brigade to get Tasered," said Cloutier, describing the experience as "your worst muscle cramp ever -- times 10 throughout your whole body". . . .

The brigade will not change its name, but the force will be known for the next year as a CBRNE Consequence Management Response Force, or CCMRF (pronounced "sea-smurf").

Government is gonna buy 40% interest of one of our major banks too. That's gonna be a good idea. It works pretty good in Cuba, Russia and China too.  :doh2:
