Title: Looking for a dog harness.
Post by: trailtwister on July 26, 2016, 11:38:40 AM
Bought this one about 20 years ago and want to buy another but can not find it locally.

As you can see two straps go over the back one under the belly with a buckle on one part. There is a single strap that goes across the chest too.

Can any one help me locate a source?

Thank you.

You'll likely find someone who makes those, but FWIW I used to live near a saddle maker who would sew up such stuff for me on his heavy duty stitching machines.  Once I moved to the city I went to a shoe cobbler with my straps and leather and sketch of what I wanted and he sewed it up for me.   Worth checking if you don't find a direct source.

I got a goat harness somwe where in my junk.     If one was made there must be a place to find them.  I'll ask around.

I have one of these handy-dandy devices, if you can't find a harness  you might be able to rig one up.

Yep, good tool.  I've had one for 30 years and sewn up a lot of stuff with mine, sometimes repairs and sometimes making an a new item.

Thanks for the reply's.

A friend in Canada sent me the same link the next day. I will worry for a while about the plastic clip though.
