Is there a way to change the board look or theme to a different color?
Yes sir.
Click on the profile button in the top menu
Then click "Look and Layout" from the menu on the left
The very top option on that pages reads "SMF Default Theme" and right next to it is a clickable link that reads "change" which takes you to the optional themes.
The top two are exactly the same and the reason is cause I modified the colors of the default theme to make it "non-default.
The ONLY other theme installed, which you'll see, is called "curve". It's a stale pungent blue and basically comes with the software.
Can I ask ya why you want to change themes? Are you having trouble seeing or reading something with these colors?...or just sick of it?
The names of people on line at the bottom of the home page are in different colors depending on how many posts they have. I have trouble reading some of the colors so I thought I'd ask if there were other themes in the hopes of picking out a more contrasting background.
No big deal. I don't want to create any work for ya. I can live with the default theme.
Some of them are easier then others to read. I did adjust a few them when I was redoing the theme to compensate.
Those are pretty simply to change. It's not even bada bing bada boom....changing those colors is more like bada...done. :biggrin:
Tell me which one is tormenting ya...I'm sure I can find something to work, and if your having trouble maybe someone else is too.

The silver memberships are the hardest to read. But if I turn my screen brightness way down and push my laptop screen to a more acute angle I can read it OK. :laf:

ok. My original intentions were to make the custom groups color, as close to their ranking as possible. For example, Gold=gold, Silver=silver, Platinum=platinum, etc.
Anyway, I was using white, pure white, for the Silver members since the new theme, so it would show up against the brown.
I've just switched it to the complete opposite, total black.

The black is great. It shows up good. The yellow was hard for me to see too.
