Title: LBL Toys
Post by: FinsnFur on November 09, 2006, 09:31:34 PM
If we decide to give away some loot at the LBL Hunt this year, how many of you  feel that you may be able to contribute?

Two things to keep in mind.

One - I would prefer that this wasn't about money. I'm not in this for the money, I pay my own server costs, and aren't charging anyone for advertising, so I'd prefer the donations were givin away. How?...we are still working on.

Two - It's not going to be held over anyone's head if they simply feel that they cannot supply anything at this time. Were a small board, and I understand most of you aren't turning a lot of product into cash through here.

Were just looking for a rough idea as to how much stuff we would be able to use if we go this route. And everything will be up front in the open. You will receive full recognition for anything donated.

(rephrased for stray  )

Edited to add list, thanks a ton guys. Your all class "A"  :yoyo:

I think that each attendee should write their name on a slip of paper and you put them all in a hat [I'll donate a new hat as we wouldn't  the names to get smudged]. If the season goes well, I may also be able to add a tanned hide or two to the pot [maybe a nice skunk for a special drawing between any attendees that have yet to connect this year?]. Anyway, you can either pick a goodie and then draw the name from the hat, or draw a name from the hat and let them pick from among the goodies. The benefit of the first approach is that I'll still have a chance to win a goodie if I'm on stand or lost in the woods at the time of the drawing

If we donate nothing and have no lute and just sit around fire drink beverage of choice and see who can tell the biggest lies would be ok with me. Last ones I attended, there was nothing but abunch of good people enjoying the event didn't need toys. But if toys are forth comming ok.

Bad news...............I finally finished one call and after everything dried I noticed a crack due to an knot in the wood. :argh:

But tell me what ya'll think of this design.  Like it or hate it.

Bad pic of it.

I like it Stray, looks good.

There must be something in the air. I was on the horn with Brent last night while he spun a few and I had to take the phone away from my ear while he screamed about a crack.  :eyebrownod:
