Man I love the slant of that Alaska northern low angle sunlight.    Great pics.

Bop, your fireball photo really does look like a big explosion of flammables.  Lotta good sunset pics here, hard to mess up, even for us idiots! :doh2:

I could've kicked better than him yesterday.  We'll hang onto him, though.
The sun's gone down in Philly - sorry - don't mean to turn this into a football thread, but couldn't resist the whole sunset angle even though I used a moon.

You crack me up Al. Your avatar says, "Just say no to smileys" and then I read this post.  :laf:

And just for the record, Yes, those pictures would be a lot prettier with a new camera, but since I am an avid cell phone camera enthusiast, I doubt I will change.  :nono:
You got Nikon enthusiasts. You have Ford lovers. You have Ruger lovers, etc.
I like camera phones. They are handy, readily available, never forget them and the quality of the picture is not what I want. I want it to remind me of the memory. Ever hear an old song and remember something in particular because of it? Or how about you see an old vehicle that reminds you of one a buddy had or maybe you drove....(L), every once in awhile maybe see one that reminds you of one grandpa had when you were little.
Pictures do that for me. I don't need them to be super vivid. I am not a professional photographer, so I won't go hungry if my pictures look like crap. I want the memory to come back. The feel, the smell, the taste, my state of mind, my age, what my kids were doing right then....all of it.
I want to step back in time and relive that moment for just a minute or two. Now that's what I'm talking about.  :eyebrownod:

Here's a few from Namibia.

Three and half months and 250Savage and I will be Africa bound!

I've tentatively gotten my feet wet with the new line of EVIL camera's....

I have both an OLy E-PL1 and Pana GF-1 that I'll be taking across the pond. Picked up a couple lenses to complement them, and hope to share a few pictures upon my return.

FinsnFur

That is cool, I hope you to share some when you get back too :eyebrownod: Good luck out there by the way.

Bopeyes bottom picture looks a lot better up there. I dont know if it was the speech or CCP editing the post.  :laf:

Here are a couple of shots from my trip to Canada last week. These are the only two sunsets we saw in seven days. Lots of clouds and rain this year.

The sun came out for about three hours on Monday, just long enough to see it set.

We got to see it set again on Thursday even though we had clouds overhead.
