Whatever handgun you decide on, don't forget to load "special" ammunition.  :innocentwhistle:

Mr. Rahm, if your wife gets a S&W Airweight there are also a number of options for mounting a laser on them too  :yoyo:

'Mebbe the pointy ones are "armor piercing" rounds?      :alscalls: :alscalls:

I think the pointy ones are missiles and are made to go through multiple targets at one time.

I knew an old Blacksmith who drilled shallow holes in the point of some of his bullets and seated primers in there. Boom on impact was the idea.

Hollow out the bullets fill with Tannerite and cap off with a primer.  May not kill the perpetrator but guarantee a law suit by the perp and family. :rolleye:

Need a AR pistol on a single point sling for comfortable open carry. Bad guys wont pull a gun on you but the police might..

I suggest that you carry off the shelf ammo. Hornads self defense rounds are a good choice they have fed reliably in all guns i have seen shoot it

Todd, if you are somewhat new to this and like big calibers, try a Charter Arms Bulldog. 44 spec 5 shot. Ive got one and my niece came around Thanksgiving and out of all the guns I let her shoot she liked this the best, she is 21 and never shot before. If you are wanting a 40cal  Charter makes a revolver that is chambered in 40 that doesnt need moon clips. Best of luck

Stray its funny ya mention that. I met an old timer a month back, that pulled one of those out of the back pocket of his overalls. He said he paid $350 for it and then hacksawed and filed the hammer off of it so it wouldn't get caught in his pocket. Carried it for misfits and bears.

Well, one down! I'll probably order a Crossbreed for it tonight.

Frogman

That's nice!  Good choice!  What caliber?

You can't kill 'em from the recliner!!

It's a 40 Jim. I kinda leaned towards the .45, but my entire circle of friends shoot 40's for personal and work use. (Figured I could mooch more ammo if need be)  :innocentwhistle:
