I'm goin on a hog hunt for my graduation present (hey, that'll beat VA beach ANY day in my book!) and I was wonderin on how large a hogs vitals are?, Ive heard that they are same size and Ive also heard that the vital zone was only 1/2 that of a whitetail, I was wonderin if any of you fellas had ever done this sorta huntin before

They are pretty large, but they have a plate of armor that protects there side. So in order to hit the vitals, try to find a good quartering away shot, or hit right behind the front leg and low toward the belly.
