Anyone have any suggestions for a trail cam that takes good night video and does not have a flash (IR). I am hoping to spend $250 or less? if possible.
sometimes I wonder....is that getting closer..... then it hits me

I had a personal conflict the other day, now I'm not speaking to myself.... I'm getting lonesome

I met the girl of my dreams, I was the man of her dreams too.....she used the term "nightmares" though.

Checkout the " Wildview " cameras, I have a friend that has several of these and they are easy to setup and affordable. cc

Check out the HCO ScoutGuard SG 550.
It is an IR, takes color pics during the day,
fast trigger speed, good battery life, I know
it takes video, but I'm not 100% sure if it does
it at night with the IR. Everything I've read about
it looks good. Nice little camera. Two of
my friends bought one this last weekend, I decided
I didn't have the coin to drop on one, but everything
I've seen so far it'd be my next one. They're around
$200.00, give or take about $20.00.

Your biggest cost of running one, is batteries...........I would look for one that runs on 6 or 12 Volt and set up a solar charger to save a lot of battery money.
(Note:) you must have a charge controller to keep from overcharging or discharging the battery as well.

I've researched trail cams for a while now and the Scoutguard would be my choice.

I have the Moultrie ISpy40. I like it although  this is my first and only one, so I can't compare it to any others.
