We got some busted up Concrete in front of one of our overhead doors at work. Fork trucks drop into the holes and it gets kind of sketchy. The maintenance man said he was going to cut the bad parts out with his electric angle grinder.
I laughed and I said that should be cute.
He said why?
I said how in the heck are you going to hang onto an electric angle grinder with a huge diamond blade on it? I said it'll probably rip out of your hand and if it doesn't there's going to be so much dust in your face you won't be able to see what you're doing. Why don't you run over to the hardware store and rent a chop saw for cutting cement?
He says I'll order the biggest blade I can get for it and then I'll make my own guard to fit it.
The guy always has been good with metal but I never imagined this LOL. This was what I saw in the Tool Crib when I went at the end of the day to check on his project.

American worker ingenuity!  Let us know if he can hold on to it and if it works as intended.

Well, if I were making something it certainly wouldn't look that good. But with that being said, I would probably cut off my leg or arm using it.   :rolleye:

Still gonna have dust to contend with. But as long as he can hold it he may be onto something.
Don't bring shame to our sport.

He died for dipshits too.

When they come for mine they better bring theirs

Oh I'm definitely going to video this when the time comes.
I asked him this morning what he's going to do if that thing hits a piece of rebar. He went like this

Good thing for him to do now because if things don't go as he planned he might only have one shoulder to shrug.

Never got to see this put to use
The maintenance guy put it off until someone finally put concrete patch over the breakouts for a bandaid :doh2:
This will probably be how it gets left :rolleye: It should last a long time :innocentwhistle:
